As larger Australian real estate and property management agencies look more and more to outsource routine office tasks, they face a new challenge of ensuring their offshore staff are engaged and onboard with their company culture.
In Episode 2 of The Corner Office, Sonia, the head of a property management department responsible for 1,200 properties speaks with Beepo’s CEO Aimee Engelmann about her experiences of being rushed into outsourcing sooner than she had planned.
The experience was much less stressful than Sonia expected.
“There was a lot of uncertainty about the unknown and how this would really work,” Sonia explains. “We just kept reassuring the team that it’s going to be a trial…we just have to test it and make it work.”
It worked so well, the company now has framed photos of their offshore staff in their Australian offices and even included them in their last Melbourne Cup sweep.
